Our business opened in 1989 in Chattanooga, Tennessee as a family-owned trophy and awards shop called The Plaque Shack, Inc. When the internet emerged in the mid ’90’s, we decided to offer some of our more popular products to customers across the entire United States and abroad. That’s when we started our first websites, NameTagCountry.com, Paperweightcountry.com and DeskPlates.com. Following these websites, we also added AwardCountry.com and in 2019 we rebranded as Award Country. ThePlaqueShack.com is our newest website and is more of an informational site that showcases our overstock inventory, Howard Miller products, and highlights the production methods we’ve used for over 33 years.
In late 2022 we decided to restructure our business so that we can focus primarily on our name tag and desk plate product lines. We will no longer offer most of the award products we’ve offered in the past, with the exception of plaques, which are still available on AwardCountry.com.
We are driven to provide our customers with the highest quality products and services available. All of our products are produced and customized locally in our Chattanooga, TN location. We follow strict quality control standards, then inspect and carefully ship your order to provide a product that you will be proud to present as a gift or use every day.
